Quilts
have traditionally been made to celebrate births, anniversaries, weddings, new
homes and life events of all kinds. My quilts are handmade with great care and
attention to detail, from heirloom quality materials, which soften and wear
over time and through use, taking on character and personal history in the
process.
All of my quilts are made from cottons and
linens, including repurposed, deadstock and remnant fabrics, as well as new
materials. They are filled with soft cotton wadding and hand quilted (the
visible top stitch) with cotton sashiko thread.
Cost
Price depends on the size of the quilt, the
intricacy of the design and what materials we will be using.
Your quilt can be any dimensions you wish,
from a wall hanging to a throw or full bed spread, but as a guide, a bespoke
wall hanging of approximately 70 x 50cm starts from £300+, with prices going up with
size.
Time
Depending on the design, and what other projects I’m working on, a bespoke quilt can take from 4-8 weeks to complete, or longer for
particularly large or intricate projects. If you have a specific deadline
