Ellen Wilkinson is an art writer based in London. Recent commissions include texts and essays for Yellowfields, Foundation Painting Show, East Bristol Contemporary, and Bristol Museum and Art Gallery. Ellen has written about and worked with artists including Jade Montserrat, Sarah Taylor Silverwood, Katie Davies, Freya Dooley, Jo Lathwood, Clare Thornton and Harriet Bowman. Her writing has been published by FACT, This is Tomorrow, Printmaking Today, a-n, If I ran the circus and artist-led initiatives across the UK.

Ellen is an experienced editor and copywriter. She edited a-n’s 40 Years 40 Artists series of interviews, has produced copy for the UK Parliament Art and Heritage Collections website and for The Healing Arts, a book about the pioneering arts project at Chelsea and Westminster NHS hospital.

She also mentors artists and provides writing support on artist statements and funding applications. She has run participatory workshops for organisations including Spike Print Studio, Supernormal Festival and University of the West of England, Bristol.
